• Is it worth buying period underwear?

Among women who have swapped pads, tampons or cups for period underwear, opinions are very positive. Most agree that Silver Care underwear withstands the first days of the period even with heavy bleeding. You should change a pad or tampon every 3-4 hours depending on period intensity – period underwear need to be changed only 2 times a day. We recommend buying 2 pairs – one is worn, the other is waiting clean for change, but if you want to be sure there’s always a clean, washed pair ready on those days, you can get even more pairs. The optimal amount is 3 pieces.

• With period underwear, do you use a pad or tampon at the same time?

Period underwear are designed to provide protection by themselves during menstruation. There is no need to wear an additional pad, but if you feel more comfortable with a pad, you can wear it identically to regular underwear. You can also wear the underwear for extra protection during your period when using a tampon or menstrual cup.

• Are period underwear expensive?

Period underwear are very durable and long-lasting, so their purchase is definitely economical. One pair can serve us for 3–4 years without a drop in absorbency. If you follow the manufacturer’s washing and drying instructions, this period can extend to even 6 years (remember that underwear can last even longer, but their absorbency will decrease slightly – this change will not be noticeable). How to wash and care for the products?

1. Wash before first use.
2. After use, we recommend rinsing and/or soaking before washing.
3. Can be hand-washed or machine-washed with the rest of the laundry or in a separate laundry bag (if you prefer).
4. When using a washing machine, wash at a temperature not higher than 40º.
5. For proper care, use neutral soaps. Do not use chlorine, bleach, fabric softeners, natural oils or Marseille soap, as they can affect the absorbency.
6. Do not use a tumble dryer, as this may reduce absorbency.
