Is it worth buying menstrual underwear?

Among women who swapped pads, tampons or cups for menstrual underwear, opinions are very positive. Most say that Silver Care underwear works even on the first days of heavy periods. Changing pads or tampons should be done every 3-4 hours depending on period intensity. Menstrual underwear only need to be changed 2 times a day. We recommend buying 2 pairs. One pair we wear, the other is ready clean for change, but if you want to be sure that on those days there will always be a washed and clean pair waiting, you can get even more pairs. The optimal amount is 3 pieces.

Do you use pads or tampons together with menstrual underwear?

Menstrual underwear are designed to provide protection themselves during menstruation. There is no need to wear an additional pad, but if you feel more comfortable with a pad, you can wear it identically as with normal underwear. You can also wear the underwear for extra protection during menstruation when you use a tampon or menstrual cup.

Are menstrual underwear expensive?

Menstrual underwear are very efficient and durable, so their purchase is definitely economical. One pair can serve us 3–4 years without loss of absorbency. If you follow the manufacturer’s washing and drying recommendations, this period can extend to even 6 years (remember that underwear can last longer, but their absorbency will slowly decrease – this change will not be noticeable). How to wash and care for the products?

1. Wash before first use.
2. After use, we recommend rinsing and/or soaking before washing.
3. Can be hand-washed or machine-washed with other laundry or in a separate laundry bag (if you prefer).
4. When using a washing machine, wash at a temperature not higher than 40º.
5. For proper care, use neutral soaps. Do not use chlorine, bleaches, fabric softeners, natural oils or Marseille soap, as they may affect absorbency.
6. Do not use a tumble dryer, as it may reduce absorbency.
